Catch your breath
on the wind —
Let heaven fill your lungs
with hope —
not fear.
And form your lips
to the shape of praise —
Broken and bleeding,
torn by the air
but still singing.

What a precious, happy family. These sweet friends are some of the most fun humans you can meet. Their little guy was full of smiles and the fall colors were just right.
My dear friend Lindsey. She’s a treasure. A delight. She is the Queen of Pie-Making and stewards her home to be a place of warmth, beauty, and hospitality. If you know her, you love her.
We spent an afternoon together and I was able to catch her in her most natural habitat – preparing a pie for some church members to enjoy. What a woman.
There is nothing quite like a sweet, blue-eyed newborn baby girl to start off October on the right foot. Daisy was a delight to capture – she has no idea how blessed she is to have these two as her parents.
And she will certainly be blessed with the longest eyelashes in the land (I mean just look at her mom & dad!).
Welcome to the world, Daisy!
This sweet little family was the start of the Fall photo season. It was so much fun to spend time with them and walk through the early fall beauty.
I am so grateful to these wonderful people participating in my sunflower mini sessions! It was a blast to do these sessions in such a lovely and unique location. Hope you enjoy these!
Kansas City is full of beauty and wonder. One of the best displays of this is at First Fridays in the Crossroads. It’s been months since I’ve explored these art studios (thanks to the pandemic), but this is easily my favorite KC activity.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to go and wander through the streets with these dear friends.
I met Mallory & Camden just a few weeks before their first child was born. Almost seven years later and I still can’t believe God gave me the gift of their friendship! I love these people and the ways they have grafted me into their family.
When I decided to come back to photography, I knew I needed them to be my models.
Can we talk about how beautiful this family is? And also talk about how Hudson basically looks like a grown man now!? Not okay. Hallie still has a little kid lisp and I hope it stays forever. And sweet Brooks is the brown-eyed babe everyone is enamored with. Gosh, these kids and their parents are just the best.
I can’t get enough of the Pulliams and I am so grateful they allowed me to capture their family.

Cloudy sky, rainy mountain roads, a dog, close friends and family, cool and breezy weather… If asked “What is your perfect day?” These descriptions would have made the list. Give me a good cup of coffee and I believe I would transport to another dimension of bliss.
Our journey through Rocky Mountain National Park was sublime in every way. And what better way is there to practice with a new camera? I’m thankful for this place and this journey and these people.
